2006 Hyundai Sonata Exterior Information

The Sonata’s exterior is subdued and on the edge of elegant and should age well over the years. I like the concave hood that’s become a trademark for the Hyundai vehicle line. The Sonata is a little longer and a little taller than the previous model, which should please previous Sonata owners as well as buyers looking for an alternative to cookie-cutter sedans. When you compare the Sonata's Exterior to other vehicles such as the Toyota Camry or Chevy Malibu you will no doubt agree that the Sonata has them beat hands down.

I purchased the LX version which includes 17” euroflange alloy wheels with Michelin® tires. These wheels, in my opinion, look better than the 16" wheels that come with the GLS and GL edition. They do however allow for more road noise to be heard because of the 50 series Michelin® tires that come with them. The thinner the tire, the more noise you'll hear. But the amount of noise is NOT a problem by any stretch of the imagination.

There are a few options that you may choose when styling your new Sonata such as mudflaps and a rear spoiler. I opted not to get any of these options. I thought they added to much to the already beautiful design. Although after driving the car for about a month I am rethinking the mudflaps. I wouldn't mind the extra protection from mud flying up on the rear of the car. The Powder White Pearl paint is great and I want to keep it as clean as possible.
